Samford alumni have two more months to take part in a historic project collecting data on people who have graduated from the university.  The Samford University Alumni Association is partnering with Publishing Concepts, Inc. to gather updates as well as produce the first alumni directory in two decades.

The data has been collected through brief phone calls and graduates are able to select what they share.  So far, approximately 8,000 Samford alumni have participated.  If you have not had the chance to take part and still desire to, you can update your information by calling 866-530-8367.  Alumni who do not participate will still be listed in the directory with name, graduation year and degree obtained.

“The alumni data project is very important as it will strengthen the community of graduates,” said Casey Ramey, Executive Director of Alumni and Philanthropic Engagement.  “Having the most up to date contact information will enable us to keep alumni aware of upcoming activities in their cities, benefits offered to them as alumni, and offer them the opportunity to connect with others who love this university.”

The data project started on September 1 and will conclude March 31.  Those who participate can reserve a digital or print copy of the directory with PCI, but it is not required to purchase any items offered to participate in the project.
