Samford University's soccer Bulldogs won their second straight Southern Conference regular season championship Oct. 23 with a thrilling 1-0 victory over East Tennessee State University. The Bulldogs will open conference tournament play Oct. 31 with a home match against the winner of the Oct. 28 opening round match between the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga and Virginia Military Institute.
