The Samford University Orchestra and Combined Choirs will present a concert Tuesday, May 8, at 7:30 p.m. in Wright Center Concert Hall. The public is invited free of charge.
Dr. Milburn S. Price will conduct, with Kathryn Fouse, pianist. Singers will be members of Samford's 54-member A Cappella Choir and 45-member University Chorale.
The program will include Jean Sibelius' Karelia Suite, Op. 11; Pietro Mascagni's Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana, Engelbert Humperdinck's (German composer 1854-1921) Overture to Hansel and Gretel, and Beethoven's Fantasia for Piano, Chorus and Orchestra in C Minor, Op. 80.
