Brad returned to his alma mater, Samford University, in 2011 as the Director of Media Relations. His dedication and expertise led to a promotion in 2013, when he assumed the role of Executive Director of Broadcast Media.

Brad returned to Samford after an 12-year career as a sports anchor and sports director for CBS in Birmingham. In 2010, he was honored as AP Sports Anchor of the Year. During his time at CBS-42, he covered numerous high-profile sporting events, interviewed legendary coaches and athletes, and provided in-depth analysis of collegiate and professional sports.

Growing up in West Palm Beach, Florida, Brad moved to Birmingham in 1995 to attend Samford and graduated in 1999 with a degree in journalism and mass communication. While at Samford, he was actively involved in student media, including serving as an anchor and reporter for the Samford News Network. His passion for storytelling and sports journalism took root during these formative years, paving the way for his successful career in broadcasting.

He’s thrilled to be back at Samford, sharing the school's rich tradition with his wife, Carrie, and their four wonderful children: Kristin, Ryan, Marin, and Kevin. As a devoted husband and father, Brad enjoys spending time with his family, attending his children's sporting events, and exploring new travel destinations together.

Beyond his work at Samford, Brad has been actively involved in various leadership and community service roles. From 2009 to 2013, he served as the Executive Director of the Bobby Bowden National Collegiate Coach of the Year Award, where he played a key role in honoring excellence in college football coaching. In 2021-22, he was a founding member of Helena's Diversity and Inclusion Committee, advocating for greater community engagement and representation. He currently serves on Pelican Bay's Member Policy and Relations Board in Naples, Florida, where he contributes to policy development and member relations.

Brad resides in Helena, Alabama, where he remains an engaged member of the community. He is passionate about mentorship, often speaking to students about careers in journalism and media and encouraging the next generation of storytellers to pursue their dreams.
