Holley Wins Best Paper Award for Piece on First Black Female CPA to Earn PhD
Brandi Holley, assistant professor of accounting, won a Best Paper Award from the American Accounting Association’s Academy of Accounting Historians for her paper which memorializes Larzette Golden Hale, the first Black female certified public accountant to also earn a PhD in accounting.

Samford University will partner with Cedarworks Inc. to present the 11th annual Lions Den pitch competition aimed toward advancing the Kingdom through Business-as-Mission (BAM). The 2024 event will be held Thursday, Oct. 10 at 4:30 p.m. at Highlands College.
