In the first phase of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Residency Match, McWhorter School of Pharmacy has already established a new school record of 57 students/graduates who’ve secured a pharmacy residency.

Of the school's current fourth-year class, 41 students have been matched with a Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) pharmacy residency, placing Samford Pharmacy in the top 20% of pharmacy programs in the U.S.

For previous graduates, 14 alumni secured a Postgraduate Year Two (PGY2) pharmacy residency, while two students separately secured a Managed Care Residency, bringing the total to 57.
