Our major in culinary and wellness nutrition management provides students with the knowledge and skills to become entry level professionals in culinary arts, nutrition and health and wellness areas.
This major combines skills in culinary arts and wellness nutrition management. Students in this major will be highly encouraged to volunteer, engage in service-based learning activities and seek work experience in their chosen field. This degree meets the needs for non-dietetic nutritionists who wish to pursue culinary and wellness nutrition careers with competitive knowledge, skills, and experience.
Culinary and Wellness Nutrition Management major offers a science-based curriculum, in combination with hands-on culinary training, research and directed practicum experience in their chosen field, which will contribute to the development of intellect, creativity, faith and personhood, while fostering academic, career and ethical competencies. Students have the opportunity to develop leadership skills through various student organizations in the department.
