Starting September 1, Samford University alumni will receive important communication from Publishing Concepts, Inc. (PCI) to create an updated alumni directory. PCI is a national company with a track record of successfully partnering with universities to help maintain accurate alumni records.
This partnership will enable the Samford University Alumni Association to communicate with alumni more effectively, ensuring sufficient access to updated information on events, resources and university news. The SUAA regularly sends details concerning Homecoming, professional networking opportunities and regional alumni events.
Casey Ramey, executive director of alumni and philanthropic engagement, shared that this project is meant for Samford to continue to improve the way Samford serves alumni. “The goal behind the alumni data project and partnership with Publishing Concepts is to work with alumni to update their contact information so they can benefit from the resources available to them as alumni and members of the Samford University Alumni Association,” said Ramey. “We look forward to strengthening the alumni community through this endeavor.”
Communication from PCI will come via emails and yellow postcards that will contain a phone number to call and update alumni contact information. The phone call will last no longer than 3-5 minutes. This project will conclude in March 2024.
There is no cost to participate in this project, and alumni information will be kept within the Samford community for the purpose of updating the alumni database. Participants will have the option to purchase either a print or digital directory for personal use, and they will also have the option to purchase additional Samford gear.
