The Samford University Alumni Association announced their summer event schedule, and it includes events In Mobile, Orlando and Birmingham.
The office of church relations will host a reception June 13 at the Southern Baptist Convention meeting in Dallas for Samford alumni and friends. the event begins at 2 p.m. in room C143 of the convention center. There is no cost for the come-and-go dessert reception, but reservations are requested.
The schedule kicks off on June 21 for the Mobile Alumni Chapter at the Mobile BayBears baseball game. The cost is $10 per person, which includes dinner in The 755 Club and a game ticket. Children six and under are complimentary.
On June 30, the Orlando Alumni Chapter will hold a picnic from 3-5 p.m. at the Azalea Lane pavilion in Central Park, located in the Winter Park area of Orlando. Alumni are invited to bring their families or guests. Refreshments will be provided. Alumni can bring a picnic blanket and games to enjoy in the park.
Rounding out the summer is Samford Night at the Birmingham Barons on July 24. The event will take place at Regions Field. Included in the cost of the event is dinner and a game ticket. Children six and under are complimentary. Registration for the event will open later in the summer.
