Whether you are a prospective student, a current student or alumnus, Samford University wants you to answer the question "What is your Samford story?"
By answering the question, you and your friends could win prizes valued up to $600.
Samford is hosting a video contest open to all students and alumni wanting to tell their story. Videos do not have to fit a template. The more creative your video is, the better, according to Brian Kennedy, associate director of admission communication in Samford's Office of Admission.
Videos will be judged based on originality and presentation. They must be between 90 seconds and three minutes long.
Once the video is created, it can be submitted online at samford.edu/stories.
First place will win $600. Second place earns $300, and third place will take home $100. Winners will be announced at the beginning of the fall 2013 semester.
"We always talk about how the best part of Samford is its people. It can sound so cliché, but the fact is, it's true," Kennedy said. "Whether it's a new student explaining why they chose Samford, a current student sharing their Samford experience, or alumni explaining the outcomes, there are a lot of stories out there. And we want to hear them."
All submitted content must be original work and must not infringe on copyrighted materials.
