Two Cumberland School of Law alumni who have been chosen president and president-elect of the 17,000-member Alabama State Bar will succeed a third alumnus in the leadership roles.
Philip W. McCallum, J.D. '87 will serve as Alabama State Bar president for the 2012-13 term. He is a founding shareholder of McCallum, Methvin & Terrell, P.C., in Birmingham.
Anthony A. Joseph, J.D. '80 was chosen president-elect, and will serve as president during the 2013-14 term. He is a shareholder at Maynard, Cooper & Gale, P.C., in Birmingham.
James R. Pratt III, J.D. '78 served as Alabama State Bar president during 2011-12. He is a trial attorney with Hare, Wynn, Newell and Newton in Birmingham.
