New Testament parables specialist Craig L. Blomberg will present this year's Biblical Studies Lectures sponsored by Samford University's Beeson Divinity School April 14-16.
Dr. Blomberg, distinguished professor of New Testament at Denver Seminary in Colorado, will speak on the theme, "Interpreting and Proclaiming Jesus' Parables in the 21st Century."
He will deliver a sermon Tuesday, April 14, at 11 a.m. in A. Gerow Hodges Chapel. Lectures will be at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on April 15 and at 11 a.m. on April 16, all in Hodges Chapel. All sessions are open to the public free of charge.
Blomberg is author or editor of 15 books--most of them about the gospels and parables-- including The Historical Reliability of the Gospels.
He holds a Ph.D. in New Testament from Aberdeen University in Scotland, a master's from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a bachelor's from Augustana College.
