What do you think is the BEST thing about Cumberland?
The best thing about Cumberland is the people and the sense of community everyone helps create. There is a genuine culture of support among students and faculty and this support builds a great recipe for success.
Why did you choose Cumberland?
I chose Cumberland because from the moment I toured, it felt like home. There was something different about the environment; people were welcoming, conversations felt genuine, and it was clear that students weren’t just competing with each other, they were supporting each another. That sense of community stood out immediately.
What do you most enjoy about studying law in Birmingham? What do you like to do in Birmingham?
I love that Birmingham has such a wide offering of practices of law, there are so many different opportunities to learn. Additionally, it is nice to be in a city where you do not always feel like a student all the time. I also greatly enjoy the food and golf scene across the city. It is so fun visit different restaurants across town after a round of golf with friends or just having a good bite to eat after a hard study day in the library.
If you could give any advice to your pre-law school self, what would you say?
It is going to be okay. Don't forget to relax and breath. You can do this, believe in yourself. What do you plan to do after graduation?
After graduation, I plan to practice law in Alabama.
