What do you think is the BEST thing about Cumberland?

The best thing about Cumberland is the encouraging and community-oriented environment. Law school is a challenging time, but my friends and classmates at Cumberland have made it fulfilling and rewarding.

Why did you choose Cumberland?

I went to Samford for undergrad and loved it so much that I wanted to stay here for three more years. Through tours, open house, and Admitted Student Day, I learned that Cumberland was a unique place where everyone was given individualized attention in order to foster personal and professional growth. All of the students I met were genuine about how much they loved Cumberland and what opportunities it provided them with. From the very beginning, I knew that it would be a perfect fit for me!

What do you most enjoy about studying law in Birmingham? What do you like to do in Birmingham?

Birmingham is such a fun place to live! I like to visit new coffee shops and restaurants whenever I get the chance. There are multiple walking and hiking trails, parks, gyms, etc. all over the city. Birmingham is also a great place for concerts and other events. Pepper Place Farmer's Market on a Saturday is one of my favorites for sure!

If you could give any advice to your pre-law school self, what would you say?

Everything is going to work out! Taking the LSAT and applying for law schools can be an overwhelming and uncertain time, but you will end up exactly where you are supposed to be.

What do you plan to do after graduation?

Not sure! Being a first-generation law student without a ton of prior legal experience, I am unsure what I am interested in but excited to narrow it down through experience.
