Legal Interests
I am interested in business and transactional law, with a focus on real estate, corporate, and hospitality-related matters. I am particularly interested in advising developers and business owners on their projects and day-to-day operations.
Outside Interests/Hobbies
Outside of school, I enjoy working out, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. I also love meeting new people and building meaningful connections.
What do you think is the BEST thing about Cumberland?
The best thing about Cumberland is how genuinely supportive the community is. Everyone truly wants to see you succeed, and the professors go out of their way to invest in you not just as a student, but as a person. I have had professors take the time to review my resumes, cover letters, and other application materials, and they also make a point to check in personally, whether it is asking about a trip you mentioned or simply seeing how you are doing.
Why did you choose Cumberland?
I chose Cumberland because when I visited, I immediately noticed a strong sense of community and the school's reputation for preparing students for practice. It stood out as a place where I would be both challenged and supported, and where I could build meaningful relationships with professors and peers.
What do you most enjoy about studying law in Birmingham? What do you like to do in Birmingham?
I enjoy studying law in Birmingham because of its strong legal network and the accessibility of professional opportunities. When I'm not at school, I love trying new restaurants and exploring trails in the area!
If you could give any advice to your pre-law school self, what would you say?
I would tell myself to trust the process and not put so much pressure on having everything figured out right away. Law school is a learning curve, and it is important to stay consistent, ask for help when needed, and take advantage of the support available to you. What do you plan to do after graduation?
After graduation, I plan to begin my career at a firm where I can gain hands-on experience and continue developing my skills, with the goal of building a long-term practice in the Southeast.
