Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law continues its strong record of graduate employment outcomes, reporting a 94.7% employment rate for its Class of 2024. This statistic reflects graduates who were eligible for and actively seeking employment within 10 months of graduation.
Of those employed, 95% secured positions that either require bar admission or are classified as JD Advantage roles—demonstrating the continued demand for Cumberland-trained legal professionals across a broad range of legal and business sectors.
The class also saw notable success in the highly competitive area of judicial clerkships, with nine graduates earning placements—four at the federal level and five at the state level, including two with the Supreme Court of Alabama.
“These outcomes are a direct result of our students’ hard work, our faculty’s deep commitment to practical and ethical legal education, and the strength of our alumni network,” Blake Hudson, dean of Cumberland School of Law, said. “Our mission is to prepare practice-ready professionals, and these results show we are accomplishing that goal.”
“We work closely with each student to ensure they are equipped not only with the legal skills but also the personal confidence and professionalism needed to succeed,” Paige Yarbrough, director of Career Development, said. “The Class of 2024 embraced that journey, and it’s reflected in this year’s exceptional employment results.”
