Join us on March 3, 2026 at 7 p.m. for Samford University's Tom and Marla Corts Distinguished Author Series featuring Lysa TerKeurst, a nationally recognized author and speaker whose work engages faith, leadership and personal formation. She serves as president and chief visionary officer of Proverbs 31 Ministries and is a seven-time New York Times bestselling author. Her writing explores themes of resilience, forgiveness and emotional well-being through a biblically grounded framework that resonates across educational, leadership and ministry contexts. The Distinguished Author Series highlights the importance of reading and literacy while providing meaningful support for Orlean Beeson School of Education.

The names Tom and Marla Corts have been synonymous with Samford University for three decades. Tom Corts was known for his invaluable leadership, service and love for books and classical literature. Ten years ago, Marla Corts assisted in the launch of the Tom and Marla Corts Distinguished Author Series in his memory.
