Anna Lynn Harms is a sophomore economics, sociology and Christian ministry student from Knoxville, Tennessee and is a member of the Brock Scholars program. She is also involved in the Micah Fellows program and Excel Leadership Certificate Program at Samford.

Why were you interested in joining Brock Scholars?

I was drawn to the Brock Scholars Program because of my career goal to engage in urban community development or urban ministry. This career path does not fit within a single academic major, but the Brock Scholars Program will provide the flexibility to explore the complexities of community development within an urban context through a personalized course of study.

What areas are you excited to grow in as a Brock Scholar?

I am excited to deepen my understanding of this field through coursework, academic discussions with faculty, and the opportunity to take the senior research class with a faculty mentor in my senior year!
