MOBILE, Ala. – The Samford softball team dropped both games of a doubleheader Saturday at the Jaguar Classic, falling 9-1 to Mississippi State and 4-1 to South Alabama. With the two losses, the Bulldogs' season record moves to 9-16.

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The Samford men's basketball team went into postseason play today as they faced Furman in the first round of the Southern Conference Tournament. The Bulldogs came up short 86-81 as their season came to an end at the hands of the Paladins for the second-straight year. Samford finishes with an 18-14 record after entering as the No. 3 seed in the tournament.

The Bulldogs looked impressive in the opening game as they downed New Mexico 8-2 before falling to the hosts South Alabama in game two 5-0. Samford's record moves to 9-14 after the split of games today.
