Worship Album for Everyday Life

Worship Album for Everyday Life
Students Singing

A New Worship Album for Everyday Family Life
We partnered with Anchor Hymns to host a songwriting retreat in Nashville, gathering gifted musicians and songwriters around a single vision: creating a worship album for the daily lives of children and families.

About the Project

Worship-Students

We know that faith is not something that is only formed on Sundays. To better equip families in nurturing the faith lives of children and young people, we embarked on a music project that is in line with our mission of equipping leaders of all ages for faithful and artist worship. In partnership with Anchor Hymns and Every Moment Holy, this album—name forthcoming—aims to help families worship God in the ordinary moments of daily life.

Inspired by the liturgies of Every Moment Holy written by Douglas McKelvey, we gathered songwriters in Nashville and Birmingham to craft simple, Scripture-shaped melodies that can be sung at the breakfast table, in the carpool line, on the way to soccer practice, and everywhere from Sunday morning to Saturday night. These songs help children and families pray, reflect, and worship together—right in the rhythms of daily life.

The Writing Retreat

Where It All Began

In July 2025, we launched this project with a collaborative songwriting retreat in Nashville. Gathered around shared liturgies and a shared mission, the Anchor Hymns songwriting team began shaping music rooted in the ordinary rhythms of family life.

The work continued in September at Samford University, where writers gathered again to refine and expand the growing collection.

To explore the creative process, hear stories from the writers, and see behind-the-scenes moments from both retreats, Andrew Osenga, producer and writer for Anchor Hymns, shares his songwriting experience for this project.

The Resource Suite

Coming Soon!

As this album comes to life, we’re designing a set of companion resources to empower families and ministries to engage the songs throughout the week.

Rooted in the spirit of Every Moment Holy, these tools will help children and adults reflect on Scripture, pray together, and discover worship in the ordinary moments of the day.

Each resource is designed to be simple, beautiful, and deeply formational—supporting families as they grow in faith, wonder, and worship together.
