The SLP’s Role in the Cardiopulmonary Population

This course will review the common causes of hypoxia and the impact that resultant supplemental oxygen may have on swallowing. Participants will be educated on common cardiopulmonary diagnoses and interventions, and how these may impact the SLP’s assessment and intervention. Learners will also discuss the impact of tracheostomy and mechanical intervention on dysphagia and communication.
