Legal Interests
I'm interested in any practice within the corporate sector, specifically securities and trusts, regulatory compliance, or corporate governance. Labor and employment and healthcare law have also piqued my interest since beginning law school!
Outside Interests/Hobbies
Outside of school, I enjoy working out, watching reality tv, and spending time with family and friends! I also love a good podcast and finding new music.
What do you think is the BEST thing about Cumberland?
The people! Everyone here—students, administration, faculty—is invested in each other’s success. It’s invaluable to have such a supportive environment in law school.
Why did you choose Cumberland?
I chose Cumberland because I knew that I would be welcomed, challenged, and supported by its community.
What do you most enjoy about studying law in Birmingham? What do you like to do in Birmingham?
Birmingham is a great place to live! I could see myself staying here after graduation. Cumberland has a robust alumni network in the area, and they want to support current students in any way they can. There are so many amazing restaurants, bakeries, and coffee shops in Birmingham. Some favorites of mine are Gianmarco’s, Golden Age, and Slims. I also love to go on walks around my neighborhood in Homewood or on Jemison Trail!
If you could give any advice to your pre-law school self, what would you say?
Prioritize your mental and physical health! If you don’t show up as your best self, you won’t do your best work.
What do you plan to do after graduation?
I’m not quite sure yet! I could see myself staying to practice law in Birmingham or working a federal judicial clerkship before joining a law firm.
