What do you think is the BEST thing about Cumberland?
The best thing about Cumberland is how helpful and supportive other students are. Additionally, there are so many different student organizations and clubs it is easy to get plugged into the Cumberland community and meet other students with similar interests.
Why did you choose Cumberland?
I chose Cumberland because of the Trial Advocacy program, and I wanted to stay in my home state near my family.
What do you most enjoy about studying law in Birmingham? What do you like to do in Birmingham?
I enjoy studying law in Birmingham because it is a legal hub for firms all over the Southeast which provides us numerous opportunities to practice law in many different fields. Additionally, the Ultimate Frisbee community is huge in Birmingham and welcomes all levels of players.
If you could give any advice to your pre-law school self, what would you say?
Advice I would give to myself before starting law school would be to not compare myself to others in my class. Beginning law school was a stressful experience and I assumed I was the only person who felt that way. The truth is, however, that we are all in the same boat and will figure it out together. What do you plan to do after graduation?
After graduation I plan on moving back home with my wife to Daphne, Alabama, and begin practicing law for a firm that specializes in civil litigation.
