Josh Peters was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, and moved to Alabama at a young age. He began his undergraduate studies at the University of Alabama before transferring to the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in information systems. His interest in technology began in middle school after disassembling the family computer.

Peters has held a variety of technology-focused roles including IT support, cybersecurity engineering, software programming and testing and currently works in simulation technology.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time downtown with his French bulldog-Boston terrier mix, reading or visiting the gym when time allows.
